Overseas Nannies

For families based outside of the UK we have a great selection of candidates, who have had previous experience working overseas. The majority of our nannies are qualified and will have relevant childcare experience, ranging from nursery work to nannies and teachers. The majority of our nannies speak English as their first language but we also have a good selection of bilingual nannies.

All of the nannies that we select for sole charge positions are candidates who are qualified in childcare and/or have a proven childcare background with at least 2 years full-time experience. We also consider qualified teachers and graduates who have proven to be extremely popular with families who have older children and likewise paediatric nurses who are great at caring for infants.

All of our candidates have checkable childcare references and if they do not hold a current police check from their country of origin, then we then help them obtain an Enhanced CRB check. Likewise we advise on updating/enrolling on First Aid certificates.

To register your details as an overseas client you can either contact us by telephone or complete the registration form online. If you contact us online we will be in touch by telephone to discuss the role in more detail to get an idea of the most suitable candidate for your family. In addition we find a detailed job description very helpful. Following this procedure we will forward on to you any suitable candidates CV’s and photo’s by email. We then recommend you initially interview the candidate over the phone. Should you wish to meet the candidate it is advised that you either arrange for them to fly over to where the position will be based or alternatively for you to fly to London to interview the candidates in person.

Salaries for overseas nannies vary and can range from £400 to £900 per week after tax. This will be determined by the hours, number of days and the level of experience required.

As the employer you are responsible for paying travel expenses for the nanny. This would include a return flight home. The employer is also liable for medical and travel insurance.
