Part-Time Nannies*
(temporary, long term and after school)

As well as part-time nannies for 2-4 days per week we can now offer an after school part-time service.

For the moment, the afterschool service is subject to a minimum of 20 hours per week (12 hours for mornings only) and to N, NW, W & SW postal areas. That said, the service can be started on any day and run for any length of time (i.e. term times only).

Salaries: Salaries are negotiable – but the agency will suggest the current rate to both parties.

Travel: Nannies will not normally charge for fares.

School Holidays: The application form below will ask if you want the same, more or less hours during the school holidays. If you require full time help in the holidays and half terms - this will increase the net cost by more than 50% annually. If no help is required in the holidays, continuity will be lost and it may be a different nanny each term [ if you are only looking for temporary cover - please select "not applicable" ]

Employers Liabilities: Parents are responsible as employers to their nannies in the same way as they would be for full-time nannies.

However, the minimum annual holiday required by law is reduced in proportion to the hours worked.

Tax: Nannies’ salaries are quoted net of tax and National Insurance contributions [The agency can suggest a number of low cost organisations that can deal with calculations and communications with the Inland Revenue.]
